Origins is rapidly approaching. This, of course, makes me think of my annual pilgrimage to the Burgundy Room. I know Messrs. Hanrahan, Tidball, and Hindmarch won't be at the show and thus unable to join me. What of my other past companions? [info]drivingblind? [info]righteousfist? [info]princeofcairo? Others I have not yet had the pleasure of dining with?

I would love to. I can ask [info]rob_donoghue as well if you wish, but I don't know if it's budgetable for him.

Truly, I'm not so much lamenting a year away from Origins as much as I am a year away from the dinner and conversation that come with the Burgundy Room. I'm sorry to miss it.

Just putting a bug in your ear not to miss the *other* hallowed tradition of Char Bar Thursday!

One of these years I'll drag myself along on the Burgundy Room run, I enjoy me some Burgundy Room, but this year Saturday conflicts with the Tom Waits concert. Hell, one of these years I'll get you guys in the room with a wine rep or three if I can get my parties to align correctly.

I may be up for BR on Saturday ... will depend on how much I drop in Orlando.

I'll be hitting the Char Bar late as my flight isn't due to his Columbus until 10:10. (That's assuming I am able to make my connecting flight in Nashville during the 25min layover/plane change.)
